About Us

 Kate Silcock is a qualified secondary English teacher, well- being and mindfulness coach.  After teaching English to KS3, KS4 and KS5 students for 14 years, Kate was eager to combine her passion for teaching and helping staff and students to thrive, with promoting positive mental health and well-being and left her role as a teacher to begin Flourish.  Kate has first-hand experience of the pressure and strains felt by staff working in a school and educational setting and uses her expertise and training to help other teachers overcome the difficulties that prevent them from thriving and succeeding in the workplace. Kate has worked with young people as a coach, tutor, teacher and mentor for the past 18 years and has led them to success, both personally and academically, gaining continuous sets of outstanding results at GCSE and A level, with both higher achieving students and students working below national average. Kate has specialised in targeting mid and lower ability students and has lifted the performance to levels beyond expectations, providing personalised provision that has enabled students to succeed in their English GCSEs.
